The popping of Pops

Many thanks to Craig Cooper, Tom and Linda Verhey, and all the other fab workers and super cool clientele at the new Pops for Champagne. Jazz Conspiracy kicked off the joint's new River North digs this weekend and man, it was a blast.

In Pops We Trust

Good news, Chicago jazz fans. Pops for Champagne, one of the planet's greatest venues for jazz, is nearly back in business. The club's hip new River North location opens this weekend, with Jazz Conspiracy as the featured opening act.

The mood of furniture?

Jazz Conspiracy played a cool gig last night. We met an interesting person along the way, too. The gig? Bouncy standards and hip Conspiracy originals for Macy's, which put on a splashy State Street event for designer Barbara Barry. That, by the way, was the interesting person.
